Trustee Area Elections

     Trustee members for the Governing Board of the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District will be elected from one of five districts beginning in June 2012. After two public hearings, the Governing Board at their Dec. 13, 2011 meeting approved Plan 1 of three proposed plans for drawing the trustee area boundaries. The college district is one of many government agencies around California that revised their elections process to comply with the California Voting Rights Act of 2001. District elections help ensure that minority populations are equitably represented at the voting booth.
