About Us
Continuing Education's noncredit and fee-based courses afford students an opportunity to increase
their personal and/or professional skills and knowledge in several areas. Noncredit and fee-based
classes carry no units of credit and the progress of students is not graded. Classes are held on
college campuses and at various locations throughout East County.
The Mission of California Community Colleges, first articulated
in the Master Plan for Higher Education in 1960 and since reaffirmed in AB
1725 (1988), is to provide California with quality programs in transfer and
career education and in the mastery of basic skills and English as a Second
Language.
