Classified Senate
advocates the value and contributions of classified staff to the
college learning environment and success of students at GCCCD.
The Classified Senate participates in the shared governance of the
district and will collect, evaluate, disseminate information, and
will represent the interest of the classified staff on
any governance issue and/or District/College committee.
The Classified Senate is organized to participate in the governance
structure of the District; provide a body representing the concerns
and viewpoints of the classified staff; provide a unified means of
communication between classified staff and the rest of the District
community; provide an opportunity to develop individual leadership
and professional standards among the classified staff; promote the
interest of the classified staff in the development and formulation
of policy and practice related but not limited to the following;
selection of administrators, in-service training, facilities
and services, classified relations with
student/faculty/administration, finance and budget.
Classified Senate shall remain in motion to develop
cooperation among administration, faculty, and classified staff at
Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District. |
