DS STAR

The Star Award recognizes, affirms and supports examples of outstanding teamwork and dedication by any employee within District Services.  We all know staff members who we depend upon, get motivated by, and are full of great ideas, so now is the time to celebrate them!

Anyone can be nominated (Classified, Hourlies, Supervisors, Managers, Directors, Deans, Vice Chancellors, Chancellor) and anyone can make a nomination.  The qualities as a guide to support the nominations are:

• A respect for the dignity and individualism of all people
• A commitment to service with compassion, dedication and integrity.
• Serving as a role model for others.
• Promotes student success
• Strives for continued excellence in all areas.

Nominations (Click here for nomination form) will be collected quarterly, please see schedule for submission deadlines.  Nominations must be received by 5:00pm on the deadline of each quarter.

1st Quarter Submission Dates: 2/6/12 - 3/6/12
2nd Quarter Submission Dates 5/7/12 - 6/5/12
3rd Quarter Submission Dates 8/6/12 - 9/4/12
4th Quarter Submission Dates 11/5/12 - 12/4/12

We encourage nominations because we know there are many deserving people doing excellent work every day for our campus.
