Your First Vineyard class

Continuing Education is offering a class on "Your First Vineyard" on Monday nights from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from Aug. 27 to Oct. 8. Classes will be held in A-112 at Cuyamaca College.

Are you interested in learning about planting and growing your own vineyard? This course takes you through steps of evaluating your property and deciding how to lay out a vineyard, how much of the land can be planted, how many rows you can have and the best direction to plant them, what varieties of grapes are appropriate for your site, and a budget to develop the site, including purchasing and planting of vines, and what to expect the first two to three years.
