V. VACCINATION AGAINST BLOOD BORNE PATHOGENS

  • All employees covered in this plan (p. 4) shall be offered at no cost to themselves-after the employee has received the training outlined in Section VII and within 10 working days of initial assignment-vaccination against the Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) in accordance with current recommendations of the U.S. Public Health Service.

  • Employees accepting or declining the vaccine must complete the Hepatitis B Vaccination Form (Appendix B).

  • If vaccines against other bloodborne pathogens (e.g., Human Immunodeficiency Virus, etc.) become approved and recommended by the U.S. Public Health Service, immunization will be offered to all covered employees in accordance with those recommendations.

  • Information about the "Recombivax" Hepatitis B Vaccine Program.
