The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District recruits continuously for part-time faculty in all disciplines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: APPLICANTS MUST MEET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

 

Individuals interested in teaching at the community college level must meet the minimum qualifications for the discipline.  Minimum qualifications for non-vocational disciplines are a master’s degree in the appropriate discipline or a combination of bachelor’s and master’s OR a current California Community College Credential for the discipline OR the equivalent.  Minimum qualifications for vocational disciplines are an associate degree and 6 years of experience or a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience or a current California Community College Credential for the discipline OR the equivalent.

 

If applying based on “the equivalent”, you must complete an Equivalency Determination Form which must be submitted as part of the application.

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The applicant should possess the understanding and commitment to the community college philosophy. The positions may include a combination of day and evening assignments, large lectures and small seminars, and is being offered by a college strongly committed to the "open door" concept serving a diverse student population.

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

 

Applicants must submit the District Part-time Instructor, Counselor, Librarian Application Packet.

 

To ensure consistency and fairness to all candidates, submit only the material requested.  Any additional information provided will be removed from the applicant's file prior to the screening process. Information provided by the applicant, other than that requested for statistical purposes by the Personnel Office, which indicates candidate's gender, age, ethnicity, religious preference, etc. will be removed from the file. All submitted materials become district property and cannot be returned. If you want copies of your documents, be sure to make copies before submitting to Personnel.
