Districtwide planning efforts are a continuous process, with the aim of ensuring that College and Districtwide goals are current, relevant, and comprehensive.
The most recent activities, to this end, involve updating our Districtwide Environmental Scan. The Office of Institutional Research and Planning conducted this 2006 external/internal Environmental Scan in conjunction with the Districtwide Report Card and Strategic Plan Committee. Results from this updated Scan will help guide College and District planning, including the College Educational and Facilities Plans, and the College and District Strategic Plans. Data obtained from the Scan will also inform the Colleges’ WASC Accreditation self studies.
Every six years, the variables included in the Environmental Scan are reassessed in terms of their usefulness. Additionally, data for existing variables are updated on a three-year cycle.
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is currently updating its Districtwide Strategic Plan. This link takes you to the previous version, which includes Vision and Mission Statements and integrates The Way Forward, the District's guiding principles. Measures for evaluating the success of the Plan are also an integral part of the Plan. The Plan was developed by the Districtwide Strategic Planning Committee (DWSPC), a shared governance committee with 25 representatives from the college community |
