Financial Services - Direct Depo

Financial Services - Direct Deposit

Direct Deposit

Direct Deposit through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) process is available to employees for automatic deposit of your paycheck. Payroll Direct Deposit will electronically deposit your pay just about anywhere you want to do your banking – banks, savings and loans and credit unions. It ensures that your pay is automatically deposited in your bank account each and every payday. No trips to the bank, no lost warrants and no special handling needed during vacations, business travel, absences, etc.

Eligibility

All Contract Employees and Adjunct Instructors.

Procedure

To make it easy for you to enroll, complete the "Direct Deposit Authorization" form, attach a voided check or have your banking institution complete the required account/routing number and return to the Payroll Department. Generally, the authorization form will need to be submitted 45 days prior to the effective date of your direct deposit in order to process the required prenote. You can also arrange for deposits to more than one account (i.e., checking and savings). One form for each financial institution is required; only one form if all accounts are at the same bank/credit union.

With the ACH process a prenote (test) must be successful at least one month prior to implementation of direct deposit to guarantee the monies will process properly to your account. This is basically an account verification process. The prenote procedure is required whenever you change bank accounts once you are set up for direct deposit.

Employees with direct deposit will still receive a warrant stub at the Business Office and should obtain this information as soon as possible for their records.

IF YOU CHANGE ACCOUNTS IT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO SUBMIT A NEW DIRECT DEPOSIT FORM AND COORDINATE THE CHANGE WITH PAYROLL DEADLINES. FAILING TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN MONIES BEING RETURNED AND A DELAY IN RECEIVING YOUR PAY!

If you have any questions or require further information, please contact Payroll or the Benefits Office.
