| EMERGENCY RESPONSE: | |
| When aware of and informed of any emergency or pending emergency which may affect or impact the Cuyamaca College Campus, property, operations, students and/or staff, immediately contact the Incident Commander for the Cuyamaca Campus to determine if the Cuyamaca Campus will be activated. | |
| If the EOC is activated, call to duty those positions and functions needed for the emergency response. If the potential for emergency is large, it is better to overstaff initially than to try to "catch up" to the needs of the situation. | |
| Activate the Operations Team Unit Leader to set up the CC facility. Ensure that communication is established via the Campus Police Radio. Note that the Operations Team Unit Leader is part of the overall District Operations Team and will be coordinating field operations with the District EOC. |

Work with the Operations Leader to ensure the allocation of resources to the highest priorities. Develop an action plan for the following:

As the Action Plan is developed, work with the CC Planning and Intelligence Team Leader to evaluate for all requirements and impacts to operations. This may include:
|
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Work with the Resources and Logistics Team Leader to provide for the above. They will coordinate with the District EOC. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Work with the Finance and Administration Team Leader at the District EOC to account for all labor hours, accounting codes and purchase documentation. Obtain summary reports of expenses to date or an estimate of costs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Assist the Public Information Officer with media releases and internal communications. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Hold periodic briefings (every 30 minutes) in the CC to keep all staff informed of operational status and response priorities. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
If outside agencies, such as San Miguel Fire Protection District are on site at the Cuyamaca Campus, ask for a liaison to work with you in the CC. This will ensure direct communication and coordination of operations. |

If this is an earthquake emergency, plan for the eventuality of aftershocks. Buildings and facilities will need to be rechecked after significant shaking. Assist the Planning and Intelligence Team with inspections and posting of all buildings. Refer to the Building Placards located after Appendix I at the end of this manual. |

Provide for and staff for 24 hour CC operations, if needed. |

Begin the development of a transition plan to support recovery and resumption of normal operations. |

Assist with the development of the recovery plan and plan for the transfer of operations to normal procedures. |

Plan for the deactivation of the Cuyamaca CC. Notify all jurisdictions, agencies, and staff that the CC will be closing. |

|
Hold a debriefing for EOC staff and to identify and recommend areas of improvement to the Cuyamaca Campus emergency response manual and the CC. |
