Primary
Responsibilities:

  • Calculate Damage Assessment information into an estimate of losses and repair costs
  • Recommends building emergency repairs
  • Maintains complete records of inspections, damage and losses, for Cuyamaca campus buildings and damaged areas

Support
Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the District’s OES/FEMA application process
  • Supports Insurance Claims and Required Documentation

Supplies:

Calculation tools, lists of buildings and values, estimating information, file folders

 

PROCEDURES

TIME/DATE

EMERGENCY RESPONSE:  

Report to the CC. Sign in with Situation Status (Log Keeper). Immediately get a report on emergency conditions and situations.

 
Obtain a status of every Cuyamaca campus building and facility. Track the progress of the Building and Utilities teams and the Damage Assessment Teams. Determine the status of each building as the teams complete inspections.  
Receive the originals of all inspection reports. Verify that placards have been posted on buildings according to occupancy (per ATC-20). Review reports and maintain in files.  
Identify and categorize specific locations of damage and amounts of loss, updating as necessary; provide the reports to the CC staff. (Reports containing incomplete dollar estimates are not to be released to the news media. This information will be released when a final estimate has been made.)  

Arrange for photographs of damage for the files. For emergency repairs, arrange for photographs at various stages of repair.

 
Begin the process of setting up files for each building at each campus. Keep track of all information for the buildings.  
Recommend emergency projects for repair and reconstruction. Assist the Emergency Projects position with scope of work and type of services needed for each project.  
Assess repair and restoration costs; provide assessments to the Planning and Intelligence Team Leader; update as more information is received.  
RECOVERY:  
Provide information, recommendations, and assistance to the Planning and Intelligence Officer.  
Support the District EOC with the FEMA/OES disaster assistance application process.  
Forward files with original documentation to the District EOC position
