Primary
Responsibilities:

  • Provides emergency food and water for the Cuyamaca Campus
  • Arranges support for on-site shelter, if needed
  • Provides for the support for the EOC
  • Sets-up and manages a Rest Station for employees and emergency workers

Support
Responsibilities:

  • Assists with OES/FEMA documentation for the District EOC
  • Assists with the deactivation process at the Cuyamaca Campus

Supplies:

District radio, Cellular Telephone, Procurement Materials, Access to Fax Machine

 

PROCEDURES

TIME/DATE

EMERGENCY RESPONSE:  

Report to the CC. Immediately get a report on emergency conditions and situations.

 
Determine the needs of the CC staff and field staff. Set-up Rest Areas for

campus workers (including contractors and volunteers) that is secured from public view and access at each campus, as needed. Advise the Operations Officer of the Rest Area locations and services. Provide for:

  • Food (At least one hot meal per day per person)
  • Water
  • Coffee/Tea and other hot drinks in cold weather
  • Shade from sun and/or protection from rain
  • Chairs and cots for resting
  • Portable toilets
  • Wash Stations
  • Garbage Collection
  • Telephones and Message Areas
  • Counseling (if needed)
  • Rest Area staff
 
Coordinate with the Procurement Position to obtain all resources listed above.  
Coordinate with the Planning and Intelligence Team Leader to determine the expected duration of the emergency response and need for food and water at the Cuyamaca Campus. Coordinate with Procurement to obtain and arrange for delivery and distribution of the needed resources.  
If Red Cross shelter needs are anticipated, make arrangements for the resources. It is expected these resources will only be needed on a short-term basis, as every effort will be made to remove everyone to more suitable sites.  
RECOVERY:  
Plan for the closing of Rest Areas and Shelters as operations return to normal. Coordinate with Procurement for the releasing of contracted services and leases equipment.  
Provide information and recommendations to the Planning and Intelligence Officer for the After-Action Report.
