Primary
Responsibilities:

  • Receives information from supporting agencies
  • Provides information to the agencies
  • Provides information to Situation Status
  • Keeps the Manager advised of issues and events
  • Serves as the point of contact for the school districts disaster communication between the districts and private schools and SDCOE
  • Provides information to the districts and collects information from them

Support
Responsibilities:

  • Red Cross Sheltering Operations on-site
  • SDCOE District Disaster Coordination and Communication Plan

Supplies:

Contract management tools, standard contracts and resource listings for local construction companies, engineering and design firms and other services

 

PROCEDURES TIME/DATE
EMERGENCY RESPONSE:  
Report to the EOC, to the EOC Manager.  Initiate contacts with:
  • City of El Cajon (Grossmont Campus)
  • County of San Diego (Cuyamaca Campus)
  • San Diego County Office of Education (Follow procedures in the District Communication and Disaster Coordination Plan)
  • School Districts and Private Schools per the plan (if this is a widespread disaster)
 
Serve as the official liaison to city, county, state, federal government, other districts and agencies and the Red Cross, as designated by the EOC Manager.  
Verify the accuracy of the information to be relayed with the EOC Manager and/or the Public Information Officer. Refer public information announcement actions to the PIO.  
Forward information to Situation Status and others in the EOC.   Keep the EOC Manager informed of events and actions by other agencies.   Participate in EOC briefings, as needed.  If mutual aid is offered or requested, refer the action to the Mutual Aid position in Resources and Logistics.  
Serve as the point of contact and a relay of information between EOC's, ensuring that all affected and impacted agencies are advised of GCCCD pertinent operations.  
Provide support to the EOC Manager in keeping track of what other agencies are doing.  
Continue to support SDCOE with the District's Disaster Coordination and Communication Plan.  
RECOVERY:  
Continue to assist with liaison and coordination post-earthquake operations as needed, even after the EOC is deactivated.  
Provide information for the After Action Report.
