Evaluation Procedures: Persons will be notified by phone tree (see attached)
shouting/alarms/PA system to leave facility via nearest exit. They will be
directed away from the danger area and instructed to remain available at a
pre-designated staging area to assist or communicate with emergency
responders.

Describe notification procedures: Phone call to
relay information on location/time/type of incident/person making
notification/amount & type of chemicals involved/potential or actual
impact into environment and/or public health.
Emergency Procedures: Main concern: Fire and Hazardous Chemical spill.
FIRE: Employee will notify Fire Department by
calling 911, Campus Security Office at 644-7654, an attempt to extinguish
a SMALL fire.
•All small chemical spills will be cleaned up
immediately with appropriate material from chemical spill absorbent kits.
Waste from cleanup of spill will then be properly packaged and disposed
of, after determination of hazardous nature of waste has been made.
Large chemical spills will require assistance from emergency response
agencies, proper notification procedures in-house and to agencies will be
made. Local or general evacuation procedures will be implemented.
Written and oral communication will be made demonstrating assessment and
mitigation of emergency situation as soon as practically possible.
