The Fall 2019 Student Art Exhibition is the last for Grossmont College's Hyde Gallery at its current site before the move into the new Performing and Visual Arts Center. The student show, which opens Nov. 18 and continues till Dec. 6, highlights the most innovative art and design projects that students have produced this semester, including ceramics, sculpture, painting, drawing, jewelry, digital media and photography.
Most pieces will be on sale, just in time for the holiday gift-giving season. Admission to the gallery and the awards reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments and live music by guitarist Jordan DeHass will be part of the reception fromm 4-6 p.m Tuesday, Nov. 26.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Thursday and by appointment on Fridays. Parking permits for the day can be purchased at vending machines in all student lots. Complimentary parking is available on the day of the reception by entering code 3654 into any vending machine.
