Councils, Committees, and Task Forces
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District uses a participatory governance
model to guide decision-making. This structure ensures that faculty, staff, students,
and administrators all have a voice in shaping the district’s priorities and policies.
- Councils provide broad leadership and advise on major areas such as planning, budgeting, student
success, technology, and human resources.
- Committees focus on ongoing, specialized work, such as academic calendars, accreditation, and
operational planning, while reporting to the larger councils.
- Task Forces are short-term groups created to address specific issues or projects, disbanding
once their work is complete.
Together, these bodies support collaboration, transparency, and accountability, helping
the district stay aligned with its mission and the needs of its students and community.
