Self-Service Updates

 

Self-Service (Colleague) will be Temporarily Offline

On Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1:00pm through Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 1:00pm, Self-Service, our Student Information System, will be offline so that we can conduct a major system update.

This update will affect all GCCCD students and employees who use Colleague and Self-Service.

During this timeframe, students will not be able to do the following:

  • Search and register for classes
  • View class schedules
  • Check grades
  • View financial aid details
  • Make payments
  • Sign up for payment plans
  • Update personal information
  • Request transcripts

Please note that faculty and staff will also not be able to access Self-Service during this timeframe and will not be able to assist students with the items listed above. We appreciate your patience with the system being offline for this short period and look forward to serving you again once the system is back online. A notification will go out once the system is back online.

This does not affect Canvas, our websites, or Workday.

A New Way to Log Into Self-Service!

Starting April 2, 2025 after 1:00pm, it will be easier to log into Self-Service. 

Here are some details:    

  1. You will use your GCCCD Microsoft Windows account, which is the same Windows account that you use to access campus computers, Wi-Fi and other resources.
  2. This account will either look like "firstname.lastname@gcccd.edu" or "firstinitial.lastname@gcccd.edu"
  3. You may be required to use an Authenticator app for security reasons. 
  4. If you forget your password, accounts that are using an Authenticator app can be easily self-recovered through Microsoft's password recovery tool.
  5. You may be required to change your password on this account occasionally for security reasons.
