EL CAJON, CA – The Grossmont College Hyde Art Gallery is excited to kickstart the
Fall 2025 semester with their recurring Faculty and Classified Professionals Exhibition, IN•SIGHT, showcasing artwork produced by the arts educators in the Visual Arts and Humanities
Department at Grossmont College. As devoted mentors, faculty and staff inspire and
guide students every day, and this exhibition offers an invaluable opportunity for
students and the college community to connect with their mentors on a deeper level.
By observing the diverse range of artworks and techniques on display, students gain
insight into the artistic minds that shape their educational experience.
The Opening Reception will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the Hyde Art Gallery. All Hyde Art Gallery exhibitions and events are free and open to the public. Additionally, the Exhibition Cosmic Colors, organized by the Grossmont College Art Club, will be viewable in the Patterson Window Display from August 25, 2025 - September 18, 2025.
"Artwork in this exhibition displays the wide variety of student talent and styles,
as they each take different approaches to depicting the outer reaches of space in their work,” wrote the Art Club students. “The intergalactic theme was one
chosen by the club's members, as their way to express personal style and symbology.
With this exhibition, we hope to invite students to consider the great heights which
they can take in their artistic careers. From the display here at Grossmont College,
to the shining sea of the cosmos above!”
The Grossmont College Art Club is dedicated to fostering creativity, leadership, and community among its student members. The club strives to extend studio time and resources to students who may not otherwise have access, ensuring they can continue to grow and develop their artistic practice. Through a variety of workshops, students are introduced to diverse artistic mediums and techniques, expanding both their skills and creative perspectives. In addition, the club emphasizes the importance of community engagement, encouraging students to give back to both the campus and the broader community through their art.
