District Governing Board Vice President Julie Schorr selected to serve as Vice Chair of the California Community College Women’s Caucus
El Cajon, CA – In November 2025, Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District Governing Board Vice President Julie Schorr was selected to serve as Vice Chair of the California Community College’s Women’s Caucus (CCCWC).
The CCCWC advocates for change and policies that will advance opportunities and achieve equity for women across California Community Colleges. The CCCWC is committed to recognizing women’s contributions, supporting leadership development, advancing career opportunities and pay equity, and expanding the pipeline for tomorrow’s leaders.
“I am honored and delighted to have been selected to serve as Vice Chair of the California Community College Women’s Caucus,” stated Trustee Schorr. “I look forward to supporting our mission, amplifying women’s voices, and working collaboratively to advance equity and opportunity across our community colleges.”
Trustees Schorr’s contributions will ensure that the needs of Grossmont and Cuyamaca college students and employees are included in important statewide conversations, legislative initiatives, and decisions.
The California Community College caucuses within the community college system are self-governing, which allows them a voice and the ability to advocate on behalf of their membership and to take independent positions on ideas, legislation, and budget proposals.
