Grossmont-Cuyamaca College Promise Benefits
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca College Promise offers up to 2 YEARS of FREE TUITION and MANDATORY FEES to CA residents (or AB540 eligible) who attend full-time (at least 12 units*). *Students with disabilities may contact disability services at Grossmont or Cuyamaca College regarding potentially receiving a unit accommodation for a reduced course load.
NEW in 2022-2023!! Students awarded The Promise for the first semester of their first year will receive a one-time Promise Basic Needs Grant of $150. Students do not need to apply and the grant will be disbursed automatically.
Through State funding, The Promise pays the tuition and mandatory fees of the Fall and Spring semesters for qualifying students who maintain eligibility for up to four (4) consecutive semesters, within two (2) academic years. Students can attend, beginning in the Fall or Spring semesters. Students attending for the first time in the Spring semester are eligible for up to three (3) consecutive semesters.
To persist to the following semester, students must maintain full-time status (at least 12 units) each semester. Second year persistence also includes least a cumulative 2.0 GPA .
