SUBMIT EARLY! Please allow at least 3-4 weeks for the documents to be submitted, for Financial Aid Form to be processed.

Review of the Financial Aid file is a two-step review process:

  2. The Financial Aid application is routed to the college's Financial Aid Department if the college code for Grossmont College and/or Cuyamaca College is listed on the application. The Financial Aid Department will send emails of receipt and completion.

Note: The date the Financial Aid Department completes the review and determination processes of the file is the completion of The Promise requirement (not the date the Financial Aid Form was submitted).

If the Financial Aid Form is submitted externally (the first step) by the deadline, but the Financial Aid Department has not processed it (second step) by the deadline, students will receive a denial email from The Promise. Students will need to submit a General Petition Form for further review.
