processes of the file is the completion of The Promise requirement (not the date the
Financial Aid Form was submitted). If the college code is not included in the Financial
Aid Form, it will not be sent to the college.
Review of the Financial Aid file is a two-step review process:
1. The Financial Aid application is submitted externally at completion and an
email notification is sent.
2. The Financial Aid application is routed to the college's Financial Aid Department
if Grossmont College and/or Cuyamaca College are listed on the application. If the
college is NOT included in the Financial Aid Form, it will not be sent to the colleges
and The Promise requirement will NOT be met.
LATE SUBMISSION: If the Financial Aid Form is submitted externally (the first step)
by the deadline, but the Financial Aid Department has not processed it (second step)
by the deadline, students will receive a denial email from The Promise. Students will
need to submit a General Petition Form for further review.
Submit Grossmont College General Petition Form to grossmont.petitions@gcccd.edu
