Informal Bid Request

California Uniform Construction Cost Accounting "CUPCCAA" Informal Bidding Process for Public Works Projects $75k to $220k:

1. Request is submitted to Purchasing with the following required information

• a. Complete Scope of work
• b. Completed request worksheet inclusive of:
  • CSLB License Classification
  • Engineer Estimate
  • Site Walk Date
  • Requested start and completion date (or duration timeframe) 

2. Purchasing complies packet and posts documents on PlanetBids

• a. Agency notifies all qualified bidders in the applicable trade categories

3. Questions, Answers, and Bid Submittals are done through PlanetBids

• a. CUPCCAA requires a minimum of 10 calendar day's notice before the bid due date

4. Award to lowest responsive bidder

5. Requisition is entered by requesting department

• a. Purchasing finalizes contract documents and submits project to the DIR
