About the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District has been proudly serving East County
San Diego for 65 years, and is the largest institution of higher education in East
County. Both Grossmont and Cuyamaca colleges provide a tremendous economic impact
in the region through workforce development and training. Our colleges provide the
vital skills, job training, and job placement services that local and regional industries
and employers need, with a direct impact on improving the local economy.

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District provides an affordable college education to over 30,000 students each year, creating pathways to career and transfer opportunities for community members from all walks of life. As of 2026, approximately, four out of five East County residents have received an education through one of our colleges.

Grossmont and Cuyamaca colleges offer hundreds of programs and student services tailored to meet diverse needs, while leading the region with the highest transfers to SDSU, and providing premier career and workforce training.
