District wins prominent award

Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District selected as East County education services organization of the year

EL CAJON – Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District has been named education services organization of the year by the San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce. The recognition was one of several given at the 111^th East County Honors awards event last night. The awards recognize exceptional performance by local institutions and businesses serving the public.

Governing Board President Debbie Justeson accepted the award on behalf of the District.

“It means so much to receive this recognition from our community,” said Justeson. “We are proud to have transformed so many lives over the past 60 years. We look forward to the next 60 years of serving East County and beyond.”

Chancellor Lynn Neault highlighted the critical role that our District’s staff, faculty and administrators played in winning this award.

“This award recognizes the work of our remarkable team, who remain focused on serving students every day,” Neault said.
