She has provided leadership both statewide and locally, participating on numerous state and local committees, task forces, and boards. She has worked closely with other community college leaders in the region and previously served as President of the San Diego-Imperial County Community College Association. She currently serves on the board of the East County Economic Development Council and on the board of directors for the greater San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation. Dr. Neault and the District have been recognized by numerous community organizations, including the East County Economic Development Council's Partnership of the Decade Award in 2024. Dr. Neault has received the San Diego 500 Award and was named the San Diego East County Chamber’s Business and Education Person of the Year for 2023.

Prior to her role as Chancellor, Dr. Neault served as Vice Chancellor of Student Services for the San Diego Community College District for more than 25 years. In that role, she was a fierce advocate for student success, providing leadership and coordination for a comprehensive program of student support services.
