2025-2026
The annual Chancellor and Classified Senate award recognizes the outstanding contributions made by an exceptional classified professional at each of the District sites: Cuyamaca College, Grossmont College, and District Services.
The 2025-2026 award theme will be announced at a later date.
The award will be presented at the May 2026 Governing Board meeting.
Who is Eligible:
Any contract, percent-of-contract, or classified professional is eligible for nomination.
Classified professionals may be nominated by a student leader, a faculty member, a manager/supervisor, an administrator, or another classified professional.
The nomination form will be made available upon the announcement of the 2025-2026 award theme.
NOTE: The Classified Senate Executive Board wants to give classified professionals who have yet to be recognized an opportunity to be honored. Therefore, the nominee cannot have won within the past five (5) years. Please see the Districtwide Classified Senate website here for past recipients.
Criteria:
Candidate criteria for the award will be made available upon the announcement of the 2025-2026 award theme.
The Award:
Each recipient will receive a $250 gift card and an inscribed acrylic trophy. Recipients will also be invited to attend the statewide Classified Leadership Institute (June 2026).
The Selection Process:
The Classified Senate Presidents will forward an unranked slate of two to four top nominees from each location to the Chancellor’s office for review and selection.
The nominator(s) will be invited to join the Classified Senate President and the Chancellor in presenting the award at the May Governing Board meeting.
