The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District Workers’ Compensation Program administers and coordinates services related to occupational injuries and illnesses for District employees. The program is dedicated to ensuring compliance with state workers’ compensation regulations, facilitating access to benefits and medical treatment, and partnering with departments to support employee recovery, workplace safety, and return-to-work initiatives.

Workers' Compensation Quick Reference

Step 1 - Assess the situation: if the injury is an emergency, Call 911. If the Injury is not an emergency, employee should contact company Nurse at 1-877-806-9965
Step 2 - Human Resources will give out DWC-1 Form and District Injury/Illness Report Form, linked below. 
Step 3 - If Company Nurse recommends a referral to the industrial clinics, employee should go to one of our pre-approved locations whenever possible.
Step 4 - Employee should turn in a work status report to their supervisor and Human Resources.
Step 5 - Employee should complete the workers' compensation forms provided by Human Resources.
