Modern Campus CMS
Modern Campus CMS (formerly OmniUpdate) is the official districtwide web content management system used by the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District (GCCCD).
The system allows authorized users to create, edit, and manage website content without coding experience while maintaining district branding, accessibility standards, and publishing workflows.
You will find useful tips, videos, tutorials, and more on their support site.
Requesting Access (New Web Editors)
Access to Modern Campus CMS is role-based and granted to authorized employees only.
If you are a new web editor and need an account set up, please email: helpdesk@gcccd.edu
Your request should include:
- Your name
- Department
- Supervisor approval
- The website section(s) you will be responsible for maintaining
Once approved, the District Web/IT team will create your account and guide required
training.
Training & Workshops
Modern Campus offers free training opportunities open to all users.
Monthly Workshop
An open forum to discuss topics related to the Modern Campus product line.
Hosted by members of the training and support teams, these sessions provide insight, support, and guidance on:

- Other Modern Campus modules
Monthly Orientation Training
These Monthly Orientation provide a comprehensive overview of how to use Modern Campus CMS and are open to:
- New users who need an introduction
- Returning users who would like a refresher
The two-hour training takes place in a Modern Campus CMS sandbox environment. If your college already has an instance of Modern Campus CMS, you may follow along in your own implementation, as platform functionality remains consistent.
