Government Relations
The Office of Marketing and Communications also serves as the liaison for District government relations and advocacy at the local, state and federal levels. The District Director monitors legislation with support from the the Community College League of California (the League), American Council on Education (ACE), and the Association of Community College Trustees (ACT). The Director serves on multiple boards and committees, including the East County Chamber Government Affairs Committee and the California Assembly District 79 Education Committee, and coordinates with key regional stakeholders in government, communities, higher education, and local businesses on legislative advocavy and strategies.
