About GCCCD

Since 1961, GCCCD has played a vital role in the social and economic development of San Diego County and enhanced quality of life by providing a world-class, affordable education.

The district operates two colleges, Grossmont and Cuyamaca, each providing post-secondary instruction in an array of educational classes, programs and services.

Just 16 miles from downtown San Diego, the campuses are easily accessible. Cuyamaca College is on a 165-acre site in Rancho San Diego, south of the city of El Cajon. Grossmont College is on a 135-acre mesa in northwest El Cajon, adjacent to the cities of Santee, La Mesa and San Diego. The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District Offices are located on the northern end of the Grossmont College campus.
