District Fills Governing Board Trustee Area 1 Vacancy

At the conclusion of the September 22, 2025, Special Board meeting, the Governing Board of the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District provisionally appointed Cindy Page, a retired life-long educator, to serve as the new Trustee for Area 1, which includes the cities and communities of Santee, Winter Gardens, and Lakeside.

Cuyamaca College Alumni Spotlight: Noor Haleem

Noor Haleem, Cuyamaca College Alumnus, knows what it is like to juggle many demands at once. In 2021, Noor graduated from not just one college, but two, completing the Paralegal Studies program at Cuyamaca College, and earning a business degree with a minor in psychology at San Diego State University.

The District Welcomes Newly Elected Student Trustees

Over the summer, the Grossmont- Cuyamaca Community College District welcomed two new student trustees for the 2025-2026 academic year. Lu Tri “Vi” Huynh was elected to represent Grossmont College, and Marcelia Y. Villaseñor will represent Cuyamaca College.

Grossmont and Cuyamaca colleges award more than 6,340 degrees and certificates in 2025

El Cajon, CA – In early June, Grossmont and Cuyamaca colleges awarded more than 6,340 degrees and certificates to nearly 2,400 graduates, with over 900 graduates participating in commencement ceremonies. The number of degrees and certificates awarded this year is nearly 20% more than 2024.
